Agreement to terms
By using level1ready.com or purchasing our product (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. Completing a purchase is your explicit acceptance of these Terms in their entirety, including the attestation, disclaimer, and liability provisions below. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
What the Service is
Level 1 Ready provides self-assessment tooling and documentation for CMMC 2.0 Level 1 (the 15 basic safeguarding requirements of FAR 52.204-21). A purchase includes: a guided self-assessment questionnaire, a scored gap report, a prioritized remediation plan, a policy pack customized from your answers, an evidence checklist, and a walkthrough of the SPRS submission process. It's sold as a one-time purchase.
What the Service is not - read this one
We are not attorneys, assessors, or a certification body, and nothing we provide is legal advice, a certification, or a guarantee of compliance. CMMC Level 1 is a self-assessment: you - not Level 1 Ready - attest to your compliance, and the score you submit to SPRS is your own legally binding representation to the U.S. government. Our deliverables are built from the answers you give us; if your answers don't reflect reality, your documents won't either. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of your self-assessment before attesting, and for consulting qualified professionals - an attorney, a Registered Practitioner, or a security consultant - where your situation calls for it. Level 1 Ready is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Department of Defense, the CMMC program, or the Cyber AB.
Scope: Level 1 only
This product covers CMMC Level 1 environments handling Federal Contract Information (FCI). It does not cover Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) or CMMC Level 2 requirements. If your contracts include DFARS 252.204-7012 or you handle CUI, this product is not sufficient for your obligations, and our deliverables will say so rather than pretend otherwise.
Purchases
You must be at least 18 and provide a valid name, business name, and email. Prices are in U.S. dollars, and payments are processed by Stripe; by completing checkout you authorize the charge shown. Founder pricing ($249) applies to the first 20 customers, is enforced automatically at checkout, and ends without further notice when the 20th purchase completes.
Delivery
After purchase, your assessment questionnaire link arrives by email within 1 business day. During our founder period, your complete package is delivered by email within 5 business days of your completed questionnaire submission. If anything in your answers needs clarifying, we'll email you before building your documents. Didn't receive something on time? support@level1ready.com fixes it.
Refunds
14 days from purchase, full refund, no questions asked - email support@level1ready.com. Refunds go to the original payment method and typically appear within 5-10 business days. If a refund is issued after your package has been delivered, your license to use the delivered documents ends.
License to your documents
Your purchase grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use, edit, and maintain the delivered documents internally for your own company's compliance program - that's exactly what they're for, indefinitely. You may share them with your own primes, customers, and auditors as part of demonstrating your posture. You may not resell, redistribute, or repackage the documents, templates, or questionnaire content as a product or service for others. The underlying templates, question sets, and site content remain the intellectual property of Level 1 Ready.
Your responsibilities
- Answer the assessment honestly - the usefulness and accuracy of every deliverable depends on it
- Review every generated document before adopting it, and verify your self-assessment before attesting in SPRS
- Keep your policies and evidence current; Level 1 self-assessment is an annual obligation, and requirements can change
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes, and don't attempt to access other customers' data or impair the Service
No guarantee of results
We do not guarantee that you will achieve or maintain compliance, pass any review or audit, win or retain any contract, or achieve any particular SPRS outcome. Regulatory requirements evolve, primes apply their own standards, and your implementation is yours. Any examples in our materials are illustrative, not promises.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and completeness. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its content is current for your particular circumstances at your moment of use. Your use of the Service is at your sole risk.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Level 1 Ready and its owner(s), employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages - including lost profits, lost contracts, regulatory penalties, or other intangible losses - arising from or related to your use of or reliance on the Service, any self-assessment score you submit, any business or compliance decision you make, or any errors or omissions in the content. This applies regardless of the theory of liability, even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total cumulative liability for all claims shall not exceed the amount you actually paid us. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations; there, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Level 1 Ready from claims arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misrepresentation in any government submission, or your unlawful use of the Service.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the product evolves - for example, when delivery becomes instant. Changes take effect when posted here, with the date above updated. Your continued use after changes means acceptance.
